Transform your life and relationship with your dog through love and understanding
We want you to experience the joy of walking a well-trained dog and to enjoy the peace of mind of a stress-free walk. After all, this is why we get a dog, to enjoy our time together.
Let's face it, it's not always about obedience. Having a dog with behaviors such as separation anxiety, fearfulness, or nervousness can be very worrisome. The stress and worry about your furry friend running away because it's afraid, or the concern about your dog's destructive behavior due to separation anxiety, can be distressing for you, your dog, and your home when left alone. We are dedicated to helping you achieve a safer, happier, worry-free relationship with your furry friend!
Learn how to apply the science & principles behind learning theory to your dogs specific needs. Understanding how your dog thinks will elevate your journey together by forging a deeper bond.
We dedicate ourselves to getting to know and understand you and your dogs unique needs and behaviors, customizing the training to suit those specific requirements. We take a natural approach with each dog, recognizing that each one has a unique learning style. We are aware that certain training methods can potentially worsen issues rather than address them. We have years of experience in helping dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. Our goal is to help your dog develop good behavior and manners, and build a strong bond with you that will last a lifetime.
Sparky, a 6-year-old Mini Golden Doodle, came to us jumping on people, reactive barking in & out of his home, guarding his owners bed, being leash reactive, separation anxiety, a serious bite, and running away from his owner. Update from Sparkys owners: "Just wanted to let you know how well Sparky is doing. We go to the park almost every day and play fetch. Even when it's full of people, he comes to me and heels instantly when I tell him, OFF LEASH! He almost never barks at anything now. And he sits to be petted, SITS! He's a very, very content little doggie. Thank you SO much" Ninie and Tom H.
Mavros owners struggled with taking him for a walk, as he pulled, lunged, didn't listen on leash, and exhibited fearful & dangerous behaviors both in & outside the home. Bo wasn't to far behind following Mavros lead with similar behaviors. Update from their owner: "Just wanted to tell you that my sister and I took the dogs for a walk at the park & they were so well behaved the whole time. We would of never been able to take Mav anywhere like this before & Bo kept up the whole way. It takes so much stress away. The best gift I could of gotten them and our family is your services. The boys are doing great! Thank you" - Anna & Georgie P.
My journey began much like that of many of my clients, with dogs that I couldn't take for a walk without them lunging, barking, and pulling on the leash. Dogs had always been a significant part of my life, and I had never faced such issues before. The guilt of questioning myself and wondering what I was doing wrong was often overwhelming.
I had to understand why this was happening, not just learning how to stop it. This led me to dedicate my life to learning, which involved a 8 month hands on apprenticeship, traveling, attending seminars, taking online courses, conducting extensive research, and most recent becoming a NePoPo® Gold Graduate. Once I overcame these challenges, and learned how to build a proper relationship with my dogs, I felt a sense of duty to ensure that others didn't have to endure the same struggles, the frustration, and the guilt that I had experienced. Reflective Canine was born out of this commitment.
